Falka.fi and FALKABUTIK are both owned by J.DEGERTH (2861001-1).
The words “we”, “us”, “Falka”, “Falka.fi” and “FALKABUTIK” in this text all refer to the same thing – this store and website. It is all the same thing.
We only ship our products within Finland but do however NOT ship products to the Åland islands. We are looking into that and wish to add the Åland islands to the list soon, though.
We only sell our products to customers aged 18 and older. We do NOT sell to customers younger than 18 (meaning 17 or younger).
Falka reserves the right to change any prices, shipping methods or shop terms and conditions.
Prices and payments
All prices include VAT (Swe: moms, Fin: alv).
For vintage and second hand products the VAT is 0%, for books the VAT is 10%, for other products and shipping 24%. Shipping costs are added to every order, unless you choose “local pickup”, which is free (read more under the headline “Shipping”). The prices are written in euros (€).
Payment happens through MANUAL bank transfer to the bank account J.DEGERTH (all information about paying will be presented during checkout and in the mail you get when placing your order, so no worries). We hope to add card payment soon.
When you have completed your order
As soon as we can, we will make sure to take care of your order. You will get an email when you have placed your order, while we are processing it and when we have shipped it for you. 3 emails, that is.
Shipping/billing address information
Falka is not responsible for when customers write the wrong address, name and/or phone number in the billing/shipping address section. We kindly ask you to carefully look through your order before placing it. Falka will not return the money for any orders made with wrongfully written billing/shipping information.
We currently only ship within Finland but unfortunately not to the Åland islands. The price is 6 € including VAT (moms/alv) for all products, unless you choose “local pickup” (read more below).
You can pick up your package from Turku, without added shipping costs. In that case, choose “local pickup” when placing your order. We will send you the address separately. Please note! Packages can not be picked up at any time of the day or any day of the week. We will send you an email with possible pickup dates and times.
We ship all products as soon as we can after having received the money for your payment. From the date that we see the payment in our bank account, shipping takes about 1-7 workdays. Thank you for your patience. Please contact us on email@example.com if you haven’t received your package within 9 workdays from paying.
Falka is not responsible for delays caused by Posti/Posten in Finland. We ship products as fast as possible. However, if we cause a delay, we will send you an email asap.
Falka is not responsible for what happens to the product after shipping. We kindly ask you to make sure that your mail box is dry and clean, so that any products delivered there will stay clean and healthy. Falka is not responsible for the package being ruined by dirt, water, cute but biting pets and so on, after coming home to you.
Falka is also not responsible for how any vintage or second hand products bought from Falka react when you wash them. Some of the products may have information about washing, others don’t. We recommend googling how different materials prefer being washed but do not take responsibility for what happens when you wash them. Therefore any flaws or damage caused by washing your products, do not allow a refund or return of the product. We are not responsible for what happens to other clothes/etc if you wash them together with any product bought from us (for example if a vintage or second hand product from FALKABUTIK colors another one or in another way damages it). What you do with your products after receiving them is your own responsibility.
If you do not pick up your order on time…
Please make sure to pick up your order from Posti/Posten before they send it back to us. If the package is sent back to us, we charge 10 € (incl. VAT/moms/alv) from you. If you notice that you will not have the time to pick up your package yet, contact us immediately before we send it and we can keep it for you 1 more week before sending it. If we however already have bought the shipping, we will not be able to keep the package longer for you.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for returns before you ship anything. We then kindly ask you to pack the product in a safe package to make sure the product won’t be damage during shipping. If the product arrives broken or in any way damaged, we can not return the money to you. When sending your returns to us, remember to write your name and the order number on the package or on a note inside the package, so that we know what we get back. Thank you.
What can and can NOT be returned?
Non-digital products can be returned within 14 days from you receiving them, without any specific reason, according to the Finnish law konsumentskyddslagstifningen / kuluttajansuojalainsäädäntö. This only concerns products that have not been used. If the product remains unopened, unused and in its original condition, it can be returned within 14 days from receiving it. All products need to be returned in their original condition – whole, unopened, unused. In other cases the product can not be returned and the money can not be returned to the customer. We check the condition of all products before returning the money.
Digital and downloadable products can not be returned. Products bought from a third part through me, for example via an affiliate link, can not be returned to me. In that case, please contact the company from where you bought the product.
The customer pays for the return himself/herself/themself. Falka does NOT pay for the shipping costs of returns. You can also return the product(s) yourself to our office in Turku to avoid shipping costs, please contact email@example.com if so.
We return the money for the product(s) to the bank account number you give us, after receiving the product(s). Please make sure you give us the right bank account number, because we only pay for the return once. Please note that we won’t return money for opened, used or damaged products since they can not be sold again.
We only refund the amount of the products, not the shipping. If you for example ordered something for 50 € + 6 € shipping, we can only refund 50 € (the price of the products). If you ordered something for 120 € + 6 € shipping, we only refund 120 €. Etc.
Not picking up your order is not a return
Please note! Not picking up the package before it is sent back to us, is not the same as a return. You will therefore not get your money back automatically. Contact us immediately, if you have decided you don’t want us to send it back to you so that we can refund the price of the products. However, please note the extra cost of 10 € that we charge for packages automatically sent back to us (read more under the headline “Shipping”).
Vintage and second hand products with mentioned stains or flaws
Some of the vintage or second hand pieces we sell, might have some flaws for being used before.
Because of us wanting to save clothes from being thrown away, we still sell them despite the flaws. However, we mention every possible flaw together with the description of the product + add photos of the flaws and we kindly ask you to notice that. We will not give an added discount for any flaw/stain etc that we have mentioned, the given price depends on the price we bought the product for and it also takes any possible flaws into consideration. However, we aim to only buy clothes in perfect condition. Sometimes the light in the second hand stores can be bad and any flaws mentioned in the products are flaws we weren’t able to see while handpicking the product. But, as mentioned before, we still feel it is environmentally conscious to use these clothes rather than to throw them away. Thank you for understanding.
Products with unmentioned flaws
Even if we want to give you the best possible customer experience, mistakes can happen. If you receive a product that is broken, damaged or something else than what you ordered, contact firstname.lastname@example.org within 14 days from receiving it and add one or several photos showing the flaw clearly. We kindly ask you not to send the products to us before having discussed with us and chosen one of the two possible ways to be refunded for the products. We will also buy the shipping for you if you decide to send the package back (option nr 2), so please do not ship anything until we have discussed about the process.

Ways to get a refund for products with flaws
- Choose to keep the product(s) and get a coupon with the same value as the product(s) in euros.
You will get a coupon for the amount you paid for the products, shipping NOT included.
- Send the product back to us and we will refund for the whole purchase including shipping. Please note that we will buy the shipping for you, so we kindly ask you not to ship anything before having discussed this with us. Thank you.
About flaws/damage not caused by us or flaws we have mentioned in the product’s description
Please note that whatever you do to the product after receiving it, that might damage it or in other ways make it unusable, is not a flaw caused by us. We do not refund the price of a product that has been damaged by you. Read more under “Returns – What can and can NOT be returned?”.
If there is a flaw or stain on a vintage/second hand piece of clothing or accessory which has been mentioned in the description of the product in FALKABUTIK, it is not considered a flaw for which you can return/be refunded for the product (please read more under the previous headline “Vintage and second hand products with mentioned stains or flaws”). Refunds only apply to products with unmentioned flaws.
Please note! You will have to contact us within 14 days from receiving the product, to get your money back.
By agreeing to this text while placing your order, you are OK with everything mentioned in this text. You can not place an order without accepting Falka’s shop terms and conditions.
