In what way is Falkabutik sustainable?
First of all, we understand that the word “sustainable” is very broad. We might not be perfect but we definitely work hard to reach almost-perfection in what we do. For us, sustainability means caring for the environment, people and brands we work with.
The environment. Well, it’s everything for us. Nature is extremely important for Falkabutik and therefore we only sell products that actually make a positive change. For example the Lunette menstrual cup – a cup that reduces the amount of waste single use pads and tampons create. We also sell products that use natural and organic ingredients but however we understand that there isn’t such a thing as “shopping to fight the climate crisis”. Therefore, what we do is to make it easier to find the more sustainable alternative to products we use everyday, such as toothpastes or deodorants. We refuse to sell anything “extra” adding to consumerism. So, in short, we sell things you actually need created by sustainable Finnish brands we love and trust in ❤. Not only do we sell sustainable products for your home and body, we also sell carefully chosen second hand and vintage pieces to make sustainable fashion more accessible to you.
We also only walk, bike or use public transport to get around. We do not have an office separate from our home, meaning that work is done in an apartment that would be heated anyway. We use only reused bags and boxes to ship in and use Posti as our green delivery service.
Sustainability is also caring for the people. Falkabutik is run by Julia Degerth who does everything herself. No one works for free in Falkabutik unless it is an unpaid internship that instead gives the intern study credits. Getting paid for work is extremely important for us – either through study credits or salary. If you do your internship here which gives you study credits instead of a salary, we will make sure you feel taken care of.
Can I trust Falkabutik?
You can 100% trust in us and that you are safe here. Falkabutik is run on a WordPress site with excellent hosting support. And if you ever feel worried about anything, please send an email to email@example.com and we will make sure to get back to you and help out asap.
What payment methods are used in Falkabutik?
We use the famous Stripe function to process each card payments. Stripe is a trusted globally used function and all payments are encrypted.
You can pay with VISA cards in Falkabutik.
Where does Falkabutik ship products?
At the moment we only ship products within Finland. However, not to the Åland islands. We hope to change this soon.
Are there any shipping costs in Falkabutik?
Orders below 75 € require a shipping cost of 6 €.
All orders above 75 € get free shipping. Occasionally we also hand out free shipping coupons, so make sure to check out our store and Instagram 🙂
TURKU / ÅBO: If you live in Turku/Åbo or nearby, you can choose “Local pickup” during checkout. Local pickup is free and we will send you an email with possible pickup dates and times after receiving your order. We kindly ask you to notice that the location might change. We will inform you about this on our website and Instagram when or if Falkabutik is moving.
Can I pick up my order for free from Falkabutik?
Yes, you can choose “Local pickup” during checkout. Local pickup is free and we will send you an email with possible pickup dates and times after receiving your order. Local pickup happens in TURKU / ÅBO but we kindly ask you to notice that the location might change. We will inform you about this on our website and Instagram about this when or if Falkabutik is moving.
Can I return products from Falkabutik?
Yes. You have 14 days time to return your products if you want to. In that case, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org asap with your order number and the product(s) you would like to return. Please note that all returned products must be unused, unopened and in the same condition as they were when we shipped them to you. Leave all price tags on clothes as well. Otherwise we can not accept the return and no money will be returned.
The customer pays for the return shipping costs. No free returns, to avoid unnecessary shipping emissions. Please shop responsibly ❤
What if I receive the wrong product or the product is damaged / has unmentioned flaws?
If you get another/other product(s) than the one(s) you ordered or if the product(s) is/are damaged in some ways or have flaws that weren’t mentioned in the description (for example second hand clothes), contact email@example.com within 14 days from receiving the product(s). This is very important, as Falkabutik isn’t responsible for the order after these 14 days. As soon as we get your email, we will of course make sure to fix the mistake and make you happy! 🙂
